Yuri Kim

Clinical Research Specialist and Research Nurse in the MIT Department of Biological Engineering

Yuri is a research nurse in the MIT MAESTRO study. She is the primary contact point for research participants, ensuring that the research that is conducted complies with and adheres to the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). She has in-depth experience managing complex interventional and non-interventional clinical studies at universities, hospitals, and in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to her research nursing career, Yuri was an RN at a Level 1 Emergency Trauma Center, where she gained clinical experience working with teams treating various acute and chronic illnesses. Yuri has continued her research career in various therapeutic areas including infectious diseases, cancer, rare diseases, brain injuries, and chronic illnesses. Additionally, in her role in the MAESTRO study, she works closely with the MIT Center for Clinical and Translational Research, where in-person study visits are conducted. 

Yuri likes to travel and takes particular pleasure exploring Bangkok. She also enjoys good coffee, cooking, and baking. She has deep and sustained interest in art and classical music.
